Four Generations of Commitment.
MTE Office Center began in 1935 when Jack Tarpley opened Maryville Typewriter Exchange. His daughter Betty and her husband Jay Baker joined in 1946, expanding across NW Missouri. Their son Roger Baker modernized operations in 1980, adding computers and IT services. Today, Roger’s daughter Elizabeth Christiansen carries the legacy forward as Vice President — the fourth generation of family ownership.
